Reports of a bomb at the Ambala Cantonment Railway Station in Haryana prompted security officials to launch a search operation early on Wednesday.
Authorities received a call about a bomb placed in the parking area of the railway station, ANI reported.
However, officials have said that no suspicious object has been found so far.
The call was later traced to the son of a railway employee, who was arrested for making a hoax call, according to The Times of India.
