Producer Boney Kapoor recently announced that he is keen to make a sequel to 1987 superhit movie Mr India, which starred Anil Kapoor and Sridevi.
And now rumour has it that Harshvardhan Kapoor will be playing the protagonist in the film. Not just that, Anil will also be a part of the sequel and will essay the role of Harshvardhan's reel life father.
A source told SpotboyE that Harshvardhan will step into his father's show and "And this time Anil will play the character's father," a source added.
If the report turns out to be true, this will be the first time that the father-son duo will be seen together on the big screen.
With Harshvardhan stepping into his father's shoes, it appears like his debut film with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya, which bombed at the box office, is to be blamed. With the movie having failed to impress the viewers, the entire Kapoor family has joined hands to boost Harvardhan's acting career.
In the original story of Mr India, Anil's character Arun Verma turns invisible by the means of a device, which his father, a scientist, had invented. The invisible Arun then saves the country from evil Mogambo, played by Amrish Puri, while Sridevi was his ladylove.
Meanwhile, Mirzya, which released on October 7, has turned out to be one of the biggest disasters of 2016 and has already been pulled out of many theatres across the country.
