Mirzya, which marks the Bollywood debut of Harshvardhan Kapoor, is set to release on Friday, October 7. The film has been creating a huge buzz courtesy its music album, which offers a unique treat to the ears.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have composed the music of Mirzya and lyrics have been penned by Gulzar, who returns to script writing after 17 years. The music maestros have included all the ingredients to make the music vibrant and entertaining.
Daler Mehndi, Pakistani Sufi singer Sain Zahoor, contemporary folk singer Mame Khan and the Nooran Sisters have lent their voices to the contemporary love story.
The title track of the film sung by Mahendi has garnered immense praises from audience. Rakeysh Mehra said in a statement: "I feel songs need to be evergreen and that depends on how you approach it. It is not important that you use only hit music for the film. The endeavour is to keep finding the sound of your film, which means it can't be the sound of any other film."
Mirzya also stars Saiyami Kher opposite Harshvardhan and their on-screen chemistry has been widely talked about. Mirzya is based on the epic love story of Mirza and Sahiban, one of the popular Punjabi folktales. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film has been creating a huge buzz among movie-goers.
