American motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson's most affordable bike in India, the Street 750 has been launched with anti-lock brake system (ABS) as part of the 2017 model year update. The Street 750 is now priced at Rs 4.91 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Harley-Davidson had launched the Street 750 India at Auto Expo 2014 for an impressive price of Rs. 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle has received positive response, but was criticised for not incorporating ABS. With Street 750 getting ABS as standard, the entire Harley-Davidson range in India now comes with ABS.
Apart from ABS, the 2017 Street 750 will also get updates to the suspension and new colour options. The new Street 750 is available in Superior Blue, Fire Red and Black Denim priced at Rs 4.91 lakh while Vivid Black will cost Rs 5.01 lakh. Two-tone shades are Fire Red Deluxe and Vivid Black Deluxe priced at Rs 5.18 lakh, all prices ex-showroom Delhi.
The Street 750's engine and powerfigures are untouched. It comes powered by a 749cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that churns out 58bhp of power and 59Nm of peak torque mated to a six-speed gearbox. It measures 2215mm in length and has a wheelbase of 1520mm with 145mm ground clearance. Currently, Harley-Davidson Street 750 is the bestselling models of the company in India.
Apart from new Street 750, Harley-Davidson India launched its new 2017 line-up that comprises two new motorcycles. The Roadster priced at Rs 9.70 lakh and the Road Glide Special that costs Rs 32.81 lakh are new additions. The 2017 line-up include 13 motorcycle models price in the range of Rs 4.91 lakh to Rs 50.62 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
