Harley Davidson India has launched a new showroom in the Pink City, its 13th dealership in India.
Harley Davidson, a name celebrated for the premium bikes opened its first showroom in Rajasthan at Felicity Tower, Sahakar Marg under the flagship of Dunes Harley-Davidson. The new dealership will offer the entire line up of 11 bikes ranging from ₹6.5 lakh to ₹32 lakh. Apart from the bike models, the showroom will also offer Harley Davidson merchandise.
According to reports, the Milwaukee-based company is planning to open new dealership in India's northern region. The company which has been a part of the Indian market since 2010 is eyeing three more dealerships in the country by 2014. It has sold 4,000 units till now.
"As a brand we are witnessing some exciting times. The Dunes Harley-Davidson, gives our customers 13 dealerships across the country with Pune and Goa being the most recent additions. Globally, we recently launched two exciting product lines: Project RUSHMORE, our improved touring platform, and the Street platform, an all-new urban motorcycle," Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India said during the launch event, according to Rushlane.
In another development, Harley-Davsidson announced its national Harley Owners Group (HOG) rally, which is going to be held in Goa from 16 January, 2014. A Rushlane report said that the company that is the main sponsor of India Bike Week (IBW) will also showcase its much anticipated Street 750 bikes at the event.
The Street 750 is Harley's latest offering and will be manufactured locally at its Bawal, Haryana, capacity. The motorcycle is expected to be launched by mid-2014.
Unveiled in early November at the 2013 EICMA Motor Show in Milan, the Street 500 and Street 750 pack a liquid-cooled, V-twin Revolution X engine under the hood and host features like six-speed transmission, 2-into-1 exhaust, disc brakes and 2-passenger seat.
