Siblings across the country celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan on Thursday, Aug.18, 2016. The festival marks the bond between a brother and a sister, where the sister ties a thread or band around the brother's wrist and prays for his well being and the brother promises to protect his sister from all evils.
Television celebs too celebrated the occasion with their brothers and sisters. Several actors took to Instagram to share their moments with their siblings and wish them "Happy Raksha Bandhan."

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, although has not posted any picture with her brother on this auspicious occasion, last year told the Times of India how her brother Aishwarya once gifted her a Barbie doll. "My brother gifted me a barbie doll five years back. It was special because when I was a child, we weren't doing so well, my parents couldn't buy me a barbie doll and I was really fond of it. When my brother grew up, and he is younger than me, he bought me a barbie doll from his first ever pocket money because he wanted to see that happiness on my face," she told the daily.
