Sonakshi Sinha's latest release Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi had a poor start at the box office. Despite that, the total collection witnessed an upward trend over the weekend.
The romantic comedy film made a decent box office earning in its first three days. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi started on a low note as the film collected just Rs 2.70 crore on its opening day at the Indian box office.
However, the movie's business doubled on the second day. Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi collected Rs 4.03 crore on Saturday and went further more on Sunday. The film earned Rs 5.05 crore on its day 3, taking its collection to Rs 11.78 crore at the domestic market.
It is a motivating figure for the makers of the film as the first weekend total collection is higher than the first part of the series – Happy Bhag Jayegi-- which had made Rs 10.71 crore over the opening weekend.
"#HappyPhirrBhagJayegi witnessed day-wise growth, which is a positive sign... Opening weekend biz is better than the first part [₹ 10.71 cr]... Now needs to maintain the momentum on weekdays... Fri 2.70 cr, Sat 4.03 cr, Sun 5.05 cr. Total: ₹ 11.78 cr. India biz. [sic]," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
It will be interesting to see if Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is able to keep up the momentum over the weekdays or not.
