Known for speaking her mind, "Happy New Year" actress Deepika Padukone has mastered the art of answering controversy-prone questions.
After lashing out at a leading daily for uploading an old video titled 'OMG: Deepika Padukone's cleavage show', the gorgeous actress has now opened up about the steamy photoshoot she did with "Bigg Boss 8" contestant Upen Patel.
"Yes, I did a photoshoot and there is nothing to hide about it. We did that shot for Wendell Rodricks and it was a fashion week special. Everyone has seen the pictures long time back. I come from a great family. My parents have given me a great upbringing. So what the media can think whatever they want to," Bollywood Life quoted Padukone.
The raunchy photo session raised quite a few eyebrows, and the then models were linked in no time. However, Patel denied relationship rumours and has always maintained that it was "just another modeling assignment".
Padukone, who will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar's "Piku" alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Imitiaz Ali's "Tamasha" opposite ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor, is a hardworking professional and is never bogged down with such news.
Infact, in a Hindustan Times article published on 10 October 2013, the diva had said that she uses negativity to boost her efficiency as an artiste. "Post Om Shanti Om, a lot of stuff got written about me. All of it wasn't always nice," and added that a critic brought her and other debutants down that year.
"In fact, there was this critic who loves pulling people down. And she wrote very critically about all of us who had made a debut that year. But I didn't let it upset me. I cut that column out, highlighted what she had said about me and looked at it every day. I used negativity to work harder and improve whatever I could," she revealed.
