Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" opening day box office collection will shatter all the records, if the first day occupancy report is anything to go by.
The film has opened well in single screens as well as multiplexes. According to reports, the foremost day occupancy is around 95-100% in several theatres across the country. Most of the theatres had house-full board outside their cinema halls on Friday morning.
Going by the occupancy report, the film will blow past "Dhoom 3" opening day record. If the occupancy of the film remains steady, than "Happy New Year" will definitely cross ₹40 crore on day one.
Shah Rukh has a huge fan-following in West Bengal compared to other stars, which serves as an advantage for SRK starrer. The film has started on a humongous note in West Bengal circuit.
Same is the case with Mumbai, National Capital Region, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore and other circuits in India.
Besides fan support, the general viewers have also given thumbs up to the SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer, so the film can expect a good opening weekend score.
Meanwhile, SRK hopes that his heist drama will entertain audience on Friday.
"Didn't get to see HNY but saw the smiling faces of all who saw it. I pray to Allah that it delivers happiness to the viewers," Shah Rukh tweeted.
The film features SRK, Deepika, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Vivaan Shah and Sonu Sood and is being helmed by Farah Khan.
