Touted as the biggest film of the year, Farah Khan's "Happy New Year" has already set the bar high with its grand and picturesquely shot song videos. After "Indiawaale" and "Manwa Laage", Deepika Padukone's pole dancing skills in the "Lovely" song has garnered over one million views in just 24 hours.
Padukone, who reportedly plays a bar dancer in the film, sets the stage on fire with her incredible moves. Dressed in glittery ensembles, the leggy lass sparkles away in the video.
Opening to a packed audience calling out her name 'Mohini' in Tezaab style, the "Lovely" number is the actress' introductory scene in the film. The video briefly shows Shah Rukh Khan, who looks visibly in awe of the gorgeous dancer.
Crooned by "Baby Doll" fame Kanika Kapoor and composed by Dr Zeus, the song has a peppy vibe to it.

Ahead of beginning shoot with the "HNY" team, the actress reportedly was a bundle of nerves as she had to work hard to be a great dancer. "Farah had a list of do's for the actress. I will prepare for it like any other film. If I am required to be a great dancer in the film, I will have to work damn hard. She wants a girl who is Maharashtrian, good dancer and a specific look. Manish Malhotra is doing my clothes, my hair stylist is there, I hope it turns out good," she told NDTV.
Going by the response, it did turn out to be one of the hottest videos of the year. Meanwhile, a thrilled Farah took to Twitter to thank her audience for loving the number.
"Dear all, Lovely song has crossed 1 million views in less than 10 hrs of it's upload on YouTube. The current count is 1270370 views.thank uu," she wrote.
While composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted, "Boom! @deepikapadukone drives 'em wild, as expected! #Lovely has crossed 1M views in less than 12 hours! @drzeusworld @TheFarahKhan @iamsrk."
Scheduled for a Diwali release, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in key roles. Interestingly, Jackie Shroff will essay a negative character in the film.
