Hollywood might be a place of rivalries, where people struggle to get to the top and stay there, but that doesn't mean there aren't those that make friends along the way. In fact, what would be a better time to celebrate those friendships than the Friendship Day.
Friendship Day 2015 falls on 2 August, the first Sunday of the month. Here is a list of some celebrity friends:
Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello
The "Magic Mike" co-stars have been friends since the time they were room-mates during the college years and the both of them always speak very fondly of each other. Manganiello even presented the GLSEN 2012 Inspiration award to Bomer and husband Simon Hall. May be we will see Bomer return the honour as Manganello's Best Man when he weds fiancé Sofia Vergara later in the year.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
The SNL alums and former co-hosts of the Weekend Update Desk have been friends since the time they met at Chicago-based ImprovOlympic in 1993. They have both credited the other for immensely influencing their life in their respective autobiographies. They played the female lead duo in the 2008 movie "Baby Mama" and will soon be seen together in 2015 film "Sisters". Poehler even confessed to making out with her best friend while she was asleep, on a recent episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill
The stars of the "Jump Street" movies not only have the best chemistry, but from all the interviews during the promotions, it was also evident that they share a brotherly love for each other. Jonah is even the reason we got to see "Magic Mike" in a leash as The Gimp in Seth Rogan's comedy "This is the End". Even Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan Tatum even admitted to Jimmy Kimmel that she is jealous of their bromance, because she feels like the third wheel when the three of them hang out.
Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore
The "Charlie's Angels" have been friends since they were teenagers, when Barrymore served coffee to Diaz who was a model at 16. Barrymore has said very many times that even at that point in Diaz's life, where she was treated special for being beautiful, she was always kind to others. When Barrymore gave birth to her daughter Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, Diaz referred to her as "our baby girl". She was also present for the birth of the baby.
Everyone from 'This is the End'
Taking a page out of Adam Sandler's book, Seth Rogen made "This is the End" just so that he could hang out with his friends and make money at the same time. All the main actors in the film, including James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jay Baruchel have been friends for a long time. In varying numbers, they appear in Judd Apatow movies from time to time.
