Yes, you read it right! Kareena Kapoor Khan broke up with Saif Ali Khan and also gave him the middle finger. But that happened in reel life and not in real life.
Kareena is doing a cameo in her husband Saif's upcoming film "Happy Ending" and she is playing the role of his girlfriend. Kareena and Saif, who are happily married in real life, went through a break up in the upcoming romantic comedy film "Happy Ending".
In the scene, the Nawab begum breaks up with her reel life boyfriend and walks out showing him the middle finger.
Krishna DK, the director of the film, said that the scene was there in the film, but the added factor is that they signed Kareena to play Saif's girlfriend, who would flip the bird.
"We thought the idea of a married couple breaking up on screen was really cool. And Kareena is fabulous!" Krishna told The Times of India. "She perfectly understood the humour inherent in the scene."
But the makers are worried whether the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) will give their nod for the scene. Previously, the board had asked the makers of "Players" starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan to blur the scene and it became a controversial topic in 2012.
However, Krishna says that the scene in "Happy Ending" is not at all offensive.
"We've submitted the film to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The scene has been shot in a tongue-in-cheek manner and is not offensive at all. We are hopeful that the Board will clear it," he added.
It has to be remembered that there are certain instances when the board members have given their nod for the middle finger scene, and such a scene was approved in Ranbir Kapoor's "Rockstar" (2011).
