Happy Diwali!
Indians all over the world celebrate Diwali (Deepavali), the colourful festival of lights on Wednesday, 11 November.
The five-day-long festival that begins 18 days after Dussehra, signifies the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
As part of the celebrations, people clean and decorate their homes, dress up in new attires, light diyas, burn crackers, share sweets and gifts. Special pujas are conducted to honour the goddess of wealth and prosperity -- Lakshmi.
Many South Indian celebs like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suriya Sivakumar, Nivin Pauly, Raai Laxmi, Kavya Madhavan, Jayasurya, Tovino Thomas, Meghna Raj among many others have wished their fans on the festival of lights.
