Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma is celebrating his 28th birthday on Thursday, 30 April.
Rohit, who hails from Maharashtra, was born to Telugu-speaking parents. He showed his skills in cricket from his school days and was later selected for Mumbai Under-20, India's Under-17 and Under-19 teams.
On his birthday, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar wished the right-handed batsman.

Rohit made his international debut in 2007 at the age of 20. The successful cricketer is also the captain of Mumbai Indians team for the 7th season of Indian Premier League (IPL).
He also has the credit of being the first batsman to get two double centuries in ODI series in 2014. He also broke Shane Watson's record of 'Most runs from fours and sixes in an innings' by scoring 186.
On Friday, Rohit will lead Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
