Most loved comedian, Kapil Sharma, turns 34 on 2 April.
The comedian shot to fame after his TV show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" became the most watched show on Indian television.
From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan, from Sonu Nigam to Rohit Shetty, several Bollywood stars appeared on the popular show to promote their films.
Sharma is not just an ace comedian, but is also a terrific singer, and now the star is going to make his debut in films.
Here are a few lesser known facts about the comedian:
- The TV show host came to Mumbai with a dream to become a singer, which is his first love.
- Initially, he was a struggling theatre artist and later he participated in a comedy show on a Punjabi channel in 2005, before winning the comedy show, "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2007.
- The comedian has a 3-film contract and talent management deal with Yash Raj Films in his pocket.
- Kapil Sharma will also be showing his singing talent in his debut film. The comedian–turned–actor will be lending his voice for one of the songs in the film.
- Once, the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar had praised Sharma's singing when he was a wild card contestant in singing reality show "Star Ya Rockstar", according to The Times of India.
- Rumours of Kapil dating "CNWK" creative director Preeti Simoes is doing the rounds for a long time.
- Kapil has won the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013 award for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
