Tamil actor Jiiva, who began his career as a child artiste in 1996, celebrates his 32nd birthday on Monday, 4 January.

Jiiva's first movie as the lead actor was the 2003 romantic entertainer "Aasai Aasaiyai", following which he acted in "Raam" (2005) that won him the Best Actor Award at the Cyprus International Film Festival.

He has also acted in Major Ravi's 2006 Malayalam film "Keerthi Chakra" in which he played the role of NSG commando Jaikumar alongside superstar Mohanlal. Jiiva's performance in the movie made him one of the favourite actors of the Kerala audience. Later, he became part of many good Tamil movies and is known for his roles in movies like "Siva Manasula Sakthi", "Ko", "Nanban", "Mugamoodi" and "Neethaane En Ponvasantham".

Currently, Jiiva is working with Hansika Motwani for their upcoming comedy entertainer "Pokkiri Raja", directed by Ramprakash Rayappa. The young hero also has KP Subramaniam's "Thirunaal" with Nayantara and Deekay's, and "Kavalai Vendam" opposite Keerthi Suresh in his kitty. The flicks are scheduled to hit the screens in 2016.
