Music maestro Hariharan celebrates his 60th birthday on Friday, 3 April. The versatile legend has gifted amazing hit songs to the Indian film industry.
The legendary playback singer has lent his voice for Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bhojpuri and Telugu films. He is an established ghazal singer and one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music.
He is a two-time National Award winner and was also conferred with the Padma Shri in 2004. He was initially introduced by debutant music director AR Rahman in Tamil films with the patriotic song, "Thamizha Thamizha" in Maniratnam's "Roja."

'Tu Hi Re'
"Bombay" film song "Tu Hi Re" by Hariharan is one of the best compositions by AR Rahman.
'Chappa Chappa'
Popular song 'Chappa Chappa' from the film, "Maachis", was sung by Hariharan and Suresh Wadkar.
'Chanda Re Chanda Re'
'Chanda Re Chanda Re' song from Prabhu Dheva and Kajol starrer "Sapney" was also sung by Hariharan and composed by AR Rahman.
'Jhoka Hawa Ka'
Hariharan and Kavita Krishnamurthy sang a beautiful track, "Jhoka Hawa Ka", from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Salman Khan-Ajay Devgn starrer "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste'
Shah Rukh Khan-Karisma Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit starrer "Dil To Pagal Hai" film's "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste" song was sung by Hariharan.
'Nahi Samne Ye Alag Baat Hai'
AR Rahman composed the song, "Nahi Samne", in "Taal" and was sung by Hariharan and Sukhwinder Singh. The film starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Khanna, Anil Kapoor in lead roles.
'Yaadein'
'Yaadein' song is from Hrithik Roshan-Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer "Yaadein." The title song was sung by Hariharan, Sunishi Chauhan and Mahalaxmi Iyer.
