The star couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, completed nine years of togetherness on April 20 this year. The Bachchan pair tied the knot in 2007 and their relationship is still going strong, like the senior Bachchan couple.
Abhishek, who is currently bedridden as he is suffering from a back pain due to slipped disc, might not be celebrating the occasion in a grand manner. The actor informed fans about his condition with an Instagram video post that was captioned: "My ever so exciting view over the last fortnight!!! #laidup #healingtime #goingcrazy #boredashell."
Abhishek and Aishwarya are one of the most perfect couples in Bollywood, both on and off-screen. The couple worked together in films like "Guru," "Kuch Na Kaho," "Umrao Jaan" and "Raavan." As Aishwarya has returned to films, fans are eagerly waiting for this pair to make a comeback on the silver screen soon.
Abhishek fell in love with the former Miss World during the shooting of "Guru." It had been reported that he used to dream of marrying Aishwarya while sky-gazing in his hotel balcony of New York where he went for a shoot. He finally decided to make his dream come true by proposing to her in the same balcony while they were there for the premiere of "Guru."
Meanwhile, the pair is happily married and are proud parents of a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Aishwarya is currently busy with two upcoming projects – "Sarbjit" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil." Abhishek will be seen in "Housefull 3;" the actor is on a break at the moment due to his ill health.
On their ninth anniversary, Amitabh Bachchan has wished the couple on his blog.
