Helping the needy is something that gets appreciation from people, but if it is done for publicity, the good deed invites criticism especially when its done by celebrities. 

"Wonder how this came out [sic]," Hansika posted on her Twitter page, while sharing a tweet that carried a video uploaded by her fans. In the video, Hansika is seen secretly providing clothing and other basic necessities to the homeless people in Chennai. While many have lauded the actress for her kind act, there are few others who call it a publicity stunt, as the video looks like she was aware of getting filmed. 

"Please don't act. You shoot the video, make someone upload it, and now you say you wonder how it came out [sic]," writes a social media user. "She does this just for cheap publicity," writes another netizen. Another person writes that Hansika does this as her recent movies couldn't make a mark at the box office. "Hansika publicity paithyam. No hits afterall so have to do all this. so sad [sic]."
