With Halloween 2016 just around the corner, we promise to scare the living daylights out of you via our listing of games that you should check out this season and enjoy your Halloween. These titles are spread across PCs, Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PS4 and the Sony PS VR platforms.
You can play the below listed Halloween-themed titles at home or in office, but be warned that these games might really frighten you or even your boss.
Here's the list of Halloween trick or treat:
The Evil Within: This game, though released in 2014, tops our list considering the fact that it is a reflection of internal Halloween within human beings. The title requires you to survive in deadly horror settings, which represent what humans have done to their fellow beings.
The Evil Within (a third-person shooter) is available uniformly across PCs, Xbox One and PS4 consoles.
Dead by Daylight: This PC-exclusive game was released during June 2016. The USP of the game is its survival genre and the fact that it uses the Unreal Engine 4 to render enhanced gameplay. The game revolves around a survivor and a killer group.
In-game properties include a haunted asylum and a really remote forest.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood: This game is applicable exclusively to Sony's new PlayStation VR and is an arcade shooter. The protagonists of the game are required to navigate roller-coaster rides filled with all things scary.
The USP of the game is its 7 levels incorporating varying levels of scariness. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood has been rated highly (by players) across the globe.
Through the Woods: This single player game is a PC-exclusive title, slated for release on October 27. The game, developed by Antagonist (not necessarily the in-game antagonist), takes gamers to a dense jungle in Norway where you are required to don the role of a mother who is on a quest for her kidnapped son.
The USP of the game is its lights and sounds that promise a virtual Halloween experience.
Doom: The latest instalment of Doom, released in May 2016, should serve as a great pass time during Halloween, especially if you are on the move. Doom is available uniformly across PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
This time around, there is a multiplayer version of Doom as well. The game should do well to unlock virtual hell on your devices, going by what we experienced while personally playing Doom 2016.
