Yash Chopra's twin hero film "Gunday"s trailer has finally been unveiled and contrary to the film's teaser, the three minutes and 18 seconds trailer sees Priyanka Chopra's dominating screen presence.
The trailer begins with Irrfan Khan's grim narration rounding the tale of displaced orphans Ranveer and Arjun (as Bikram and Bala) and their journey to the top as coal mafias in Calcutta in 1971. Irffan plays the cop in search of the two best friends cum smugglers.
However, the friendship of the gangsters see a twist upon the entrance of the cabaret dancer Nandita played by Priyanka. The trailer shows the heroes falling for the dancer, which gives rise to an inevitable love triangle.
Ranveer appear quite rustic and is seen in clips flaunting a toned physique while Arjun Kapoor looks promising with an inherent raw appeal. Priyanka's glamorous avatar as cabaret dancer as well as the retro chick is complimentary. However, Irrfan appears the most menacing with subtle yet intimidating dialogues.
The YRF film's trailer true to the retro style has some classic and exaggerated one liners and good old action sequences, especially the train-looting scene.
The film's cast Priyanka, Ranveer, Arjun and director Zafar were present at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) on Friday, where the film's trailer was unveiled. The trailer was later made available on video sharing website YouTube.
Produced by Aditya Chopra with Aki Abbas Zafar in director's helm, the film will release on Valentine's Day.
