Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer "Gunday" has finished its first week with good box office run. The action thriller minted ₹63.08 crore in its first week box office run in India.
The film had a good first week, which was supported by very strong weekend collection. The film was released on Valentine's Day, due to which it had a terrific start. The film was also supported by a strong opening weekend.
On Monday, the collection dropped by 60 percent compared to Friday, but since it was Valentine's Day, the first day income was pretty high. On Tuesday and Wednesday the income was steady, but on Thursday the earnings declined almost by 25 to 30 percent.

The film, which earned its production cost in the opening weekend itself, has turned out to be good success, especially for Arjun Kapoor, whose last film "Aurangzeb" had bombed at the box office.
After "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela", Ranveer scored a hit film again with "Gunday". Even the lead actress of the film Priyanka scored it big with "Gunday".
With ₹63.08 crore, the film has already emerged as semi-hit. Also, it has become the second highest grosser after Salman Khan's "Jai Ho".
Meanwhile, the film will witness drop on second Friday as Imtiaz Ali's "Highway" has released. The film which stars Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt has received mostly positive reviews. [Check the critics' review of Highway here]
