The National Center for Seismology (NCS) said an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on Richter Scale struck Gujarat's Rajkot on Thursday morning, July 16 at 7:40 am. Tremors were felt in other parts of the state including Amreli and Junagadh.
According to the NCS, the epicentre was 22 km southwest of Rajkot. This is the second earthquake that hit the state. On July 5, 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Kutch.
