At least two people were killed and four others were injured when a car ran over labourers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Tuesday night.
The incident took place at Shivranjani cross road area when a speeding Maruti Swift ran over the sleeping labourers, according to NDTV news.

In a similar accident, three people were killed, while four injured when a bike ran over sleeping pavement dwellers in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on 3 June.
Several other road accidents in many parts of the nation have taken more than a dozen lives in recent months.
Earlier in June, four people, including a pregnant women, were killed when their van rammed into a dumper on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway.
In yet another accident last month, at least 11 people, including one 5-year-old girl, were killed on the same. The accident took place near Maharashtra's Palghar district when a minibus crashed into a luxury bus.
