Rockstar Games has responded to a popular user complaint in the recently launced GTA Online, in which neither the Reputation Points nor the progress between sessions could be saved.
The studio has been sending patches to these issues and now it has sent a new update; 1.04.
"We have received some reports about cash and RP not saving in GTA Online since around 5PM ET on 10/18/13, and are investigating this now," Rockstar stated.
"Stat processing is currently delayed. These should catch up later tonight or - at latest - early tomorrow morning," it later added.
The studio announced on 19 October that the "Service was restored in the early morning hours. We are still looking into some reports about some players' progress not catching up, and also reports about additional lost progress or problems connecting to Rockstar cloud servers today. Meanwhile, on its page, Rockstar has also said that the new update will reduce the payout for repeated missions by 50 percent.
"The first time you play and beat the mission, you will get the full amount. Subsequent replays will see a payout amount reduced by half. This is to keep the game balanced as well as encourage the exploration of new missions and content in the game."
"We understand players do like to enjoy a mission multiple times, so rather than remove the possibility of doing so, we've allowed replays of these missions at a reduced payout," it said in the post.
"Many players can get very good at a mission and beat it much faster in consecutive tries, so we've adjusted these payouts to match that case."
The update also adds a reduced penalty on death, adds changes in the character creator that will help in making "better-looking default characters" and numerous fixes.
Since its launch on 1 October, GTA Online ran into problems with bugs, inability to progress past the first mission and others, but since then the studio has seen it to that these issues are all fixed.
