Rockstar has finally confirmed a new Lowrider DLC for its GTA 5 Online, something that was rumoured to be rolled out after the Ill-Gotten Gains part 2 update. And to the joy of its players Lowrider DLC will be releasing on 20 October, in about four days time.
So what can we expect in a Lowrider DLC? Rockstar has detailed in its Newswire that it will be bringing a new customs shop, Benny's Original Motor Works situated in downtown Strawberry providing players with "lowrider customisations" turning it into a "king of the streets."
There will be a shortcut to Benny's Original Motor Works website on your phone (in-game) and players can chose out their customisations like:
- Covers
- Air filters
- Car interior comes with velour, leather and pattern coatings
- Custom colours
- Dials designs
- New steering wheel
- Custom shift levers
- Hydraulics – that will bounce the cars higher
- New speakers and subwoofers for stereos
Crew car shows are taken to the next level. Players will now be able to "show off" their cars to friends by making use of the Player Interaction Menu. They will be able to "open up the vehicle doors, hood and trunk, switch on the engine to flash your neons" and turn on the radio stations.
Lowrider DLC will be bringing new Lamar missions, so, players can expect Lamar to text or call. Get stocked with new Ammu-Nation weapons like a fully automatic Machine Pistol or Machete.
Lowrider DLC will be rolling out on 20 October for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Rockstar has also replied to fan questions on why PS3 and Xbox 360 will not be getting the new DLC. It said, "future content updates such as this are only possible on the newer and more powerful systems. As there isn't enough memory available to add to the game on the older systems, we cannot make any more meaningful content updates without putting the entire game at risk."
The images revealed in the newswire show new custom cars like the Faction, Albany Primo and probably Chino.
The pictures reveal the possibility of the DLC adding coloured wheels, chromed pedals, bobble heads and more.
Other images include new clothing options, trimmed mag wheels, new patters, hydraulics, stylings and many more.
