Fans are reporting of a fake GTA 5 PC Beta download that is full of viruses and malware. Though officially there is no beta testing for GTA 5 PC version.
Many fans have found a file that suggests of the GTA 5 PC beta testing and when they downloaded it they found that it was spreading viruses on their system.
YouTube user, NoahJ456 posted saying that many GTA 5 Online fans were mailing him saying their PC is not working after they downloaded what was allegedly GTA 5 PC beta testing file. He also showed a screenshot from Rockstar that warns fans that "there is no pre-release 'Beta' test for GTA 5" and it adds that "If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program beware as this is likely some type of online phishing scam."
Emails are being sent to some people inviting them to Beta test the GTA 5 PC version. It then asks players to register with the promotion code and gives the link. It further says that players will be agreeing with the Privacy Policy when they create an account.
The link allegedly consists of a .ZIP file that is packed with malware and virus that makes players believe that they are installing the file but the file sets up a backdoor entry for hackers to access your computer if installed, Ubergizmo reported.
Nico Bellic Skin DLC Not New?
YouTuber DomisLive has said that suggestion that GTA 5 Online players will be getting Niko Bellic and John Marston character skins as DLC is not new since these were what players paid for in the Collector's Edition of the game. The details of the Collector's Edition say that it will be consisting of classic character skins for GTA 5 Online.
He also said that players will not be getting to control Niko Bellic and John Marston. This is not a 'new' DLC but it is part of the Collector's Edition. However, he also added that Rockstar might release this for everyone in the future.
Heists DLC Arriving before Next Generation Versions
YouTube user DomisLive has speculated that Heists DLC will be coming even before the next generation version.
He argues that Rockstar's Last Man Standing update for GTA 5 Online released items like armour, gloves and different types of tactical gear. So, Rockstar is preparing the ground for the release of Heists DLC.
He also argues that GTA 5 Online players might not see Heists DLC being released in October as Rockstar might release Halloween update instead.
He adds that there is possibility that Heists might be released on the same day as next generation versions.
