As far as Grand Theft Auto 5 is concerned, the recent crux of the game has been the number of updates and DLC that have been treated to the game so far. Rockstar revealed its plans to transform the GTA Online only recently, offering a new GTA 5 Freemode Events experience, seamlessly integrating games and challenges in freemode.
"Taking full advantage of the latest generation of consoles and PC hardware, there are no menus, lobbies, or load times – just an open Freemode session filled with friends, crewmates, rivals, and randoms where spontaneous and chaotic new games and challenges will appear," said Rockstar.
Apart from that, Rockstar also claimed that the new GTA 5 Freemode Event update will deliver "tons of unique new experiences, each offering new opportunities for reaping GTA$ and RP in GTA Online." This includes "King of the Castle," "Hunt the Beast," and "Adversary Modes" like "Hunting Pack" and "Cross the Line".
And while the excitement surrounding it is understandable, with fans expecting stuff such as new cars, clothes weapons and more, it seems like some major disappointing news for them is on its way. If a recent GTA Freemode DLC trailer is to be taken into consideration, there is absolutely no sign of any such stuff getting into the game.
Rockstar, however, is aware of the displeasure that's brewing among fans, and keeping that in mind, the company addressed the situation.
"To @irockjays81 @Eliorgez2312 and others asking about new cars, clothes, and other items - we're definitely working on more vehicles among other things for you to collect for future updates - please make sure to stay tuned here at the Newswire for more info about that soon," the company stated.

Now, a word or two on the upcoming Story DLC for GTA 5. As part of the Freemode events, it seems like the fresh content will only come to new-gen consoles likes Xbox One and PS4 – although that hardly means none of the future DLCs and updates won't ever come to consoles such as Xbox 360 and PS3.
"The Freemode Events Update is only for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. As we'd mentioned previously in our Asked & Answered series here at the Newswire . . . future content updates like this one would only be possible on the newer and more powerful systems," a Rockstar spokesperson stated.
While GTA 5 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, Grand Theft Auto Online's upcoming Freemode Events, slated for release next Tuesday on 15 September, will only be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Stay tuned for more updates!
