Season 13 of ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy is going to end with a bang. It will have viewers wondering about the fate of several lead characters. Watch the episode live on May 18 at 8 pm ET on ABC. It can also be watched online via ABC's website.
The episode is titled Ring of Fire and it is expected to pick up immediately following the cliffhanger featured in the penultimate episode.

A sneak peek of the episode shows Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) in the Grey Sloane parking lot when the explosion happens. When the doctors attempt to get in they are stopped by security, but then Bailey insists that the women be allowed inside so that they could help with the crisis.
Speaking about the finale, executive producer Debbie Allen told Entertainment Weekly that there will be multiple cliffhangers.
"There's actually two events going on at the same time that are pretty big that affect the entire hospital community. You should be worried," Allen continued. "There's cause for worry. There's an amazing cliffhanger that will have everybody thinking, 'Wow, where is this going?' "
The cliffhanger will "plant more seeds that fuel the fire for what is going to happen next season," she added.
According to the synopsis for the finale, viewers see Alex taking some huge decisions regarding his relationship with Jo. We briefly met Jo's husband (played by Matthew Morrison) in the penultimate episode of the season, giving viewers a glimpse into her dark past. He is expected to feature heavily in Season 14.

The season 13 finale of Grey's Anatomy airs Thursday at 8 pm ET on ABC.
