"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is finally back after a nearly two-month-long hiatus. ABC's medical drama went on a midseason break after airing Episode 8, "Things We Lost in the Fire," on Nov. 19, 2015. And now, the fans can finally watch their favourite medical drama again. The network is all set to return with the second half of Season 12 with Episode 9, "The Sound of Silence," which will be aired on Feb. 11, 2016.

Just before the show went on a break, we saw dynamics of various relationships changing. The midseason finale left fans with many unanswered questions about Alex-Jo's relationship, Meredith-Amelia's feud and Meredith's discovery about Owen. And now, everyone's hoping that the midseason premiere answers all of these.

While all these angles will definitely be explored in Episode 9, there's something very unexpected and brutal that the promo has teased and it has got all Meredith's fans worried. The summary and promo of "The Sound of Silence" has teased that Meredith will get brutally attacked by a patient and she will be battling for her life, even while all her colleagues/friends and other doctors try to save her life.

A new promo clip gives us a sneak-peek into Meredith's condition and also explains the reason of the brutal attack. The trailer shows doctors operating on Meredith, discussing that the patient might have got aggressive because of hyper-agression following a seizure.

Now, we have to see how this attack and Meredith's condition changes the lives of people around her, given that everyone's life is somehow connected with Meredith in some sense or the other. But, fans think that Meredith's current condition may help her resolve issues with Amelia and the two might finally make up.

The synopsis of "The Sound of Silence" (via TV Muse) reads: "Meredith is brutally attacked by a patient, and Penny is the one who discovers her. The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial rush to stabilise Meredith and remain by her side in the harrowing aftermath.."
