After the censor board (Central Board of Film Certification) denied certification to upcoming adult comedy "Great Grand Masti", also called "Masti 3", makers of the movie have now approached the Tribunal (Film Certification Appellate Tribunal), reports Spotboye.
Producer Ekta Kapoor and director Indra Kumar's upcoming movie "Great Grand Masti" was earlier rejected by the censor board, owing to its alleged extreme vulgar content. It was expected that makers of the threequel will then head to the Revising Committee, but Ekta Kapoor decided to skip it and instead directly approached the Tribunal to appeal for its certification, the report added.
"Ekta felt that the RC would probably reject the film, much like the censor board. So, she saw no point in going to them and just delaying the entire process. She decided to take the matter directly to the Tribunal," the report quoted a source as saying.
"Great Grand Masti" was supposed to be released this year but the hassle in getting the film certified has apparently delayed the project. The Lead cast of the movie will reportedly remain the same -- Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi. It is the third installment of the popular " Masti" franchise, previous two versions were "Masti" and "Grand Masti". However, reports suggest that "Great Grand Masti" will be much more explicit in terms of content.
Ekta Kapoor's last production venture "Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3", also an adult comedy, had a decent box office opening but eventually failed to keep up momentum.
