The first season of Amazon Prime's The Grand Tour has become one of the biggest hits of all time, which was presented by BBC's Top Gear trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. But what will happen in season 2?

When will Season 2 air?
Amazon has not revealed the exact air date of the season 2 but it confirmed that the season will return sometime in 2017. But according to Jeremy Clarkson, the show "will go out this year at the same time the last one went out... whenever that was," as he clarified through a Facebook live event while promoting their new website DriveTribe.
Hence, the season 2 will return in mid-November.
How many episodes?
Clarkson, Hammond, and May signed a three-year contract with Amazon for 36 episodes of The Grand Tour. So the first season aired 13 episodes. And, if the two-part Christmas special would be counted as one, then total 24 episodes left for the upcoming two seasons — which indicates 12 episodes each.

Filming locations
As season two is already in the production, the show will make a halt in Germany, Scotland, the USA, and South Africa. Speaking on the DriveTribe channel, Jezza said that they had a plan of heading towards Africa in the season, which (I guess) had already been shot because Richard Hammond had reportedly met with a bike accident during filming in Mozambique.

Well, apart from that, the trio dropped a hint of pitching their tent in France. Alongside, the trio was also spotted filming on the island of Pag in Croatia in early May.
According to the latest report, the show has been accused of 'causing chaos' in the village of Yorkshire. The village residents complained that the crew of the TV show blocked one side of the West Yorkshire village without any prior notice and it caused disruption to the traffic system.
