Critics did not say it wrong that "the series got back on track" and the third episode of The Grand Tour left every fan open-mouthed, literally.

After drawing lots of flak for the second episode, the recent episode titled Opera, Art and Donuts saw the trio trying hard to justify the title.

Featuring Clarkson in an Aston Martin DB11, May in a Rolls Royce Dawn and Hammond driving a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the trio embarked on their own grand tour throughout the episode. This is why Helen Kelly wrote in Daily Express, "...the third instalment is certainly car heavy." Clarkson also "unveiled a "self-driving car", which was actually driven by a Romanian migrant, who could be seen pedalling around on it."

Digital Spy's Tom Eames described the series as "a Michael Palin travel documentary." "After a first episode which was all about introductions, and a second which was downright silly, The Grand Tour's third episode was easily its best yet."

Eames also seemed a little baffled regarding the Celebrity Braincash segment as he suggested removing it from the show itself. "The sight of famous people getting 'killed' on their way to the tent was funny at first, but seeing Simon Pegg get attacked by seagulls might be enough for us now."

And, if you feel a little nostalgic about "their Top Gear days and found the first two episodes a little too brash, then this one will please you a lot, as it's the closest we've come to an old-school Clarkson, Hammond and May special."

Rebecca Pocklington of the Sun revealed the truth behind "one scene, which had been teased previously in the trailer, featured Hammond cornered in an Italian city by crowds of people.

It all happened after his co-stars secretly arranged for the 'stampede' on Twitter without his knowledge, before leaving him there."

According to Ed Power's review in the Telegraph, he kept on gushing about episode three, which "wasn't exactly low-key – this is the former Top Gear team with all the cash in the world at their disposal, after all. But it was quieter and less conspicuously spectacular.  The Grand Tour was finally comfortable being just a juvenile show about cars."

"Wasn't Grand Tour just a clever way of crowbarring the Top Gear initials into the name of the new series without bringing down the wrath of the BBC legal department? Perhaps. However, this week the crew at least pretended the show had something to do with the grand touring tradition, as they set off on a jaunt through verdant Tuscany," he further described.

However, the episode three of The Grand Tour is definitely grand and creates a Twitter frenzy. Let's have a look at what fans have to say about it.
