It has also surpassed the lifetime records of films released this year, including "Raanjhanaa" and "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara".

In its first week, the film had no major competition and as result dominated the market. However, in its second week the film is facing tough competition from "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" and "The Lunchbox".

It remains to be seen whether the film manages to dominate the second week or not.

Meanwhile, the lead actor of the film,  Riteish Deshmukh, has thanked everyone for making "Grand Masti" a grand hit at box office.
