Defense Minister A K Antony said Wednesday that the government had decided to resume audit of defense lands and would prepare a data on encroachment on defense lands.
Giving a detailed report of the recent defense land scam in the Rajya Sabha, the minister said that Adarsh Housing Society and Kandivili cases were being investigated by the CBI. Action would be taken based on the recommendations of the investigation.
In a written reply to a question by Rajya Sabha member Gyan Prakash Pilania, the minister said, "No defense personnel has been found involved in Pune land case. Suitable action has been taken against Army personnel found involved in the Sukna land case."
The defense minister listed the details of defense land scams like Adarsh Housing Society scam, Kandivili land scam, Pune land scam and Sukna land scam.
