The posters of Bollywood's upcoming film "Gori Tere Pyar Mein", starring Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan, have been revealed.
The first look of the Punit Malhotra-directed romantic comedy was with Kareena and Imran flaunting their respective clichéd city boy and desi girl avatars.
In one poster, the two actors are seen kneeling over a broken wall between them, an implication of the obvious 'love can overcome barriers'. In the backdrop is a ropeway-bridge where Imran is seen going after Kareena.
The first poster presents an average look dampened by faulty photoshop, with the actor's kneeling pose looking conspicuously artificial on a closer look.
The second poster is equally dull with Imran sporting a vessel on his head to woo Kareena.
The first look posters of the film are a palpable connotation of the over-used theme of city boy meets desi girl romance. And it remains to be seen whether director Malhotra can offer any new insights in the age-old romance angle.
The film, produced under Dharma productions, is the actors' second project together after the average grossing film "Ek Main Aur Ek Tu" in 2011.
Recently, Kareena was clicked flaunting a baby bump on the sets of "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", giving us a remote idea of the plot. The film was shot in Gujarat's Bhuj city and the crew was recently clicked enjoying a traditional meal.
"GTPM" is Malhotra's second outing with Imran Khan post "I Hate Luv Stories" (2010). The film is set for release on 22 November.
