Goregaon: Shootout 20 Feet Away from Amitabh Bachchan at FilmCity; 1 Critically Injured

One person was severly injured on Friday when two men on a bike fired bullets at a security contractor, barely 20 feet away from where Bollywood star Amibatbh Bachchan was standing at FilmCity in Goregaon East, Mumbai.

The injured, identified as Rajeev Shinde, was rushed to Lifeline Hospital in Malad but was later shifted to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle, The Times of India reports.

The police suspect possible rivalry between the assailants and Shinde led to the shootout.

The incident took place at around 2 pm.

Both the assailants fled the scene, leaving behind their bike. The Aarey Colony police have seized the bike and an investigation into the shooting has begun. 

Bachchan posted the news on Twitter, saying one person was dead in the shooting, but reports suggest that the victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
