Google recently announced its upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat OS shortly after introducing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS along with Google Nexus 4. But the firm had failed to reveal the exact date of the Android 4.4 KitKat's release.
However, it has now been noted that Kit Kat Germany has confirmed the month of October for Android 4.4 KitKat's release unintentionally in one of the comments on a picture posted on the Kit Kat Germany's official Facebook page.
"Android 4.4 Kit Kat is available in October" (translated) stated the comment. When asked further by a fan, whether it will arrive in early or in late October, the page admin failed to answer the question and advised the fan to ask Google about it.
The comment came as a reply to one of the questions asked by a fan as to when the next iteration of Android will come into existence. This has further strengthened the rumors of the release dates of Android KitKat as 14 Oct. 2013. However, the Google Nexus 5 release along with Android KitKat is still under rumors.
In related news, a few detailed features which Android 4.4 KitKat might bring to older smartphones and tablets include wide range of hardware support, android cloud storage, global network coverage, smooth screen orientation, increased battery life and improved security for the devices.
It is said that the Android 4.4 KitKat is expected to use minimal RAM of 512MB, which further hints that Android KitKat will reach more number of low-budget phones in the market. It has been also noted that the next Android 4.4 KitKat will also bring a new UI design along with a new notification centre. Since Google has not disclosed any information regarding the features or the release date of the KitKat, fans would have to wait to get their hands on the OS.
