Google recently launched its latest Nexus series of devices in San Francisco. Unlike previous editions, this year, Google launched two Nexus phones instead of one for focusing on consumers with different display size preferences.
Dubbed Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X, both the devices are expected to be launched in India three days before the anticipated launch of Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
Both the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P will be available for purchase from October 13 onwards, Times of India reports. The report further mentioned the Nexus 5X is expected to be available for Rs 31,900, while the Huawei Nexus 6P will purportedly be available for Rs 39,990. Both the prices mentioned in the report are for the base models, hence devices with more storage capability will be available for little higher than the mentioned price.
On the other hand, Apple has announced the latest iPhones' India launch on October 13. Time will answer who will gain from Google's strategy to launch the latest Nexus devices ahead of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus but if prices are considered, iPhone and Nexus belongs to different category and preferred by consumers with different preferences.
Both the latest Nexus devices come with latest USB Type-C connector, fingerprint sensor and a large 1.55 micron camera sensor. Both the smartphones are also the first two devices that run on Google's latest operating system, Android 6.0 marshmallow.
The LG Nexus 5X boasts a 5.2-inch, 1080x1920 pixels display and come powered by Snapdragon 808 SoC. The device also packs 2GB RAM and a 2,700 mAh battery. Alongside, Nexus 5X features a 12.3MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper.
On the other hand, Huawei Nexus 6P packs a 5.7-inch, 1440x2560 pixels, 518PPI display and come powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC. Backed with 3GB RAM, it is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants.
Nexus 6P packs a 3,450 mAh battery along with a 12.3MP, f/2.0 rear snapper and an 8MP sensor for clicking selfies.
