Motorola Nexus 6 (2014) had good looks, but was criticised for its 6-inch screen and steep price hike when compared to the Nexus 5. However, its successor dubbed as the Google Nexus 6 (2015) could disappoint prospective buyers and gadget lovers with its not so great design despite several feature upgrades.
According to photos leaked by Tiesen Fu on Google+ (via Forbes), the upcoming Nexus 6 (2015) has a decent front look, which is tad similar to Xiaomi devices. But its back doesn't look that appealing with a horizontal protruding camera. The back of the device also sports fingerprint scanner.
Many may question the authenticity of the photos but Tiesen Fu has claimed in a conversation under the post that a friend gave the photos and no other detail is known.
Google hasn't revealed the release date of its Nexus 6 (2015), but several reports have claimed that it will come along with the Nexus 5 (2015) in October or November. Product Manager of Android Jamal Eason has also hinted the same by revealing on Android Developers Blogspot that Android M, which is expected to come running in Google's upcoming device, will be launched this fall.
According to Android Police, Huawei will make Nexus 6 successor under the codename "Huawei Angler" while LG makes the Nexus 5 (2015) under the codename "LG Bullhead."
The Motorola Nexus 6 sports a 5.96-inch with AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 1440 x 2560 pixels (493 ppi pixel density) resolution, but MobiPicker has claimed citing a post by Chinese IT analyst firm Jiutang Pan on Weibo that its successor, the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will have a smaller display, 5.7-inch OLED screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels, and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
