Google's 2015 Android flagship smartphone LG Nexus 5X will soon be made available across India. LG and Google on 13 October, during official launch of Nexus series, had confirmed that the device would be released on 21 October.
The company has kept its words and has made arrangements with big brick-and-mortar retail chains such as E-zone, Tata-owned Croma, Reliance Digital, The Mobile Store, Bajaj Electronics, Vijay Sales, Jumbo and others to sell Nexus 5X on Wednesday.
This is the first time Google Nexus series is being sold in such a big scale in India, thus intensifying the competition with Android OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partner Samsung and rival Apple, who too released the new iPhone 6S series in India, just a few days ago.
"We are committed to our consumers on the promised availability of Nexus 5X from October 21st as announced at its launch on October 13th. The two earlier Nexus phones (Nexus 4 and Nexus 5) received tremendous consumer acceptance, and we are sure that the all new Nexus 5X shall supersede the consumers' expectations of the partnership between LG and Google, a third time around as well," NDTV Gadgets 360 quoted Amit Gujral, head-marketing LG Mobiles India, as saying.
However, there is no word on whether Huawei Nexus 6P too will be made available in those stores as well. As of now, Nexus 6P (32GB) can be exclusively pre-booked online on Flipkart (HERE). Stay tuned for more updates.
Google Nexus 5X comes in two storage variants --16GB and 32GB—for Rs 31,900 and Rs 35,999 respectively.
On the other hand, Huawei Nexus 6P models – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB—will set you back by Rs 39,999, Rs 45,999 and Rs 49,999 respectively.
