Google is very likely to release the upgraded version of its latest Android Lollipop software to LG Nexus 5 very soon if latest reports are anything to go by. Both Android 5.1 and Android 5.2 have been spotted running on the device.
The Nexus 5 was spotted running Android 5.1 on Tuesday in a Geekbench benchmark test, and was again spotted running Android 5.2 on the same benchmarking site a day later, according to a report by Phone Arena.
The Nexus 5 is currently running on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, and it is one of the first devices to receive upgrades from Google. Now, it will be interesting to know whether Google will push out Android 5.1 or Android 5.2 OTA update to Nexus 5.
Interestingly, PhoneArena has reported that one of its readers had sent a screenshot of Sony Xperia Z2 running Android 420 in a Geekbench test, but it is still not sure if it is true.
It may be mentioned that the LG Nexus 5 was one of the first devices to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop and the upgraded version, 5.0.1 Lollipop, but it is yet to get 5.0.2.
The Nexus 5 run on Android 4.4 KitKat when was released more than a year ago before being upgraded to Android Lollipop last year. It sports a 4.95-inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (445 ppi pixel density) and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, comes packed with 16/32 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM, houses an 8 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 1.3 MP front snapper, and a non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery.
