Though Google is still mum about its upcoming Nexus devices, there are numerous rumours and leaks hovering around the Internet. The latest leak on Google-owned social community page, Google Plus, claims that the smaller display variant Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to feature a 5MP camera for selfie and video calling requirement.
While 5MP snappers on the front has become a standard for most of the mid-budget and flagship devices, Nexus 5 (2015) maker LG is purported to feature a f/2.0 sensor to ensure better images even in challenging lighting conditions.
In a screenshot posted by Techtastic.nl, the image has been blurred to hide the identity of the user. But the EXIF data posted along with the image shows that it has been clicked at Googleplex, Mountain View California. Was it clicked by a quality-assurance employee from Google?
It's confirmed that Google will launch the upcoming Nexus device in two screen sizes; 5.2-inch and 6-inch for catering different consumer bases.
While the compact 5.2-inch edition will be manufactured by LG, the phablets edition will be made by Huawei. The devices will also come in two price tags and if rumours are to be believed, the LG edition will be available in mid-budget price while the Huawei made Nexus is expected to be priced at flagship smartphone category.
Along with the price, the specification will also vary for both the devices. However, both are expected to feature a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C connector, like those featured on OnePlus 2 smartphones.
The Nexus 5 (2015) edition is purported to have a 5.2-inch, 1440 x 2560 pixels display and will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC backed with 64GB internal memory.
Details regarding the battery and the RAM are still sketchy. Some are claiming that Nexus 5 (2015) will come with a 3GB RAM and 2,300 mAh battery combination, while others assert it will have 4GB RAM and a marathon 3,180 mAh battery.
Following the trend of Google, both the anticipated Nexus devices are expected to be the first devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and are expected to be launched in October or November, 2015.
