Google is tight-lipped on the release date of its upcoming products but it is almost certain that it will release a device or even two this year. The Nexus 5 (2015) or Nexus 5 (2013) second generation is one device that is likely to hit the stores in the fourth quarter of 2015. Now, report has emerged that Google will release another device believed to be the successor of the Nexus 6.
The search giant is expected to release its upcoming device in October or November by the time the Nexus 6 completes one-year cycle in the market. There were conflicting reports on the company that will make the Google's next device but something very interesting has surfaced of late – that the search giant is planning two devices this year, one with LG and the other with Huawei.
According to a report by Android Police, Google is working on two Nexus devices with the one to be made by LG codenamed "LG Bullhead" and the other one to be made by Huawei codenamed "Huawei Angler."
The LG Bullhead, dubbed as Google Nexus 5 (2015), is believed to be the successor of the Nexus 5 which was released in 2013 and did wonderful business. It is expected to sport a 5.2-inch display, .2-inch bigger than the Nexus 5, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor seen in LG's recently released G4 device, and house a 2700mAh battery.
The website went on to claim that the Huawei Nexus device codenamed "Huawei Angler" could be the successor of the Nexus 6 which was released last year. Interestingly, the screen size of the upcoming device could be reduced by a few inches instead of an upgrade. The report claimed that it would sport a 5.7-inch screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and house a 3500mAh battery.
It may be mentioned that MobiPicker had earlier reported citing Chinese IT analyst firm Jiutang Pan's post on the Weibo website that the Google's upcoming device might have features like a 5.7-inch OLED screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels, and Snapdragon 810 processor. Interestingly, these features are in sync with the ones reported by Android Police for the purported Huawei Nexus device.
It is also reports that the upcoming Google Nexus devices may come running on its yet-to-be released software dubbed as the Android M aka Android 6.0 M Muffin which is likely to be announced at Google I/O 2015 event.
