Google Nexus 5 (2015) is in news again with the search giant's current flagship device, the Nexus 6, completing its one-year cycle in a few months. The release date of the device is expected to fall in October or November this year though Google hasn't opened up on it so far.
Google is tight-lipped on its upcoming smartphone till now but speculations around it started right after the release of the Nexus 6 last year. DigitalTrends has reported that a noted Chinese mobile industry analyst has claimed on the Weibo social network on Huawei making "a Nexus phone with a 5.7-inch touchscreen," possibly with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Nothing is confirmed as of now but it may be recalled that Huawei was linked to Google prior to the release of the Nexus 6. The search giant however let Motorola make its Android smartphone.
It was earlier reported that Google might damp Motorola, the makers of its current flagship device, and go back to LG, the makers of the Nexus 4 and 5, for its upcoming next-generation device. There were also speculations that the device could come with some features of the LG 4 like QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 with IPS Quantum display technology, camera feature, and colour spectrum sensor if the South Korean electronics giant joins hands with Google again.
Google is likely to throw some light on the Nexus 5 (2015) at its upcoming annual conference Google I/O 2015 which will witness the unveiling of its new software. It is reported that the search giant's upcoming software could be called the Android 6.0 'M' aka Muffin and the same is expected to come running in the upcoming Nexus 5 (2015) device.
