Last year, Google for the first time introduced custom snap-on live cases for select Nexus devices. Now, the search engine giant has released new Earth and Trends themed covers exclusively for Pixel phone series.
This customisation service is similar to Motorola's Moto Maker, wherein the company allows the consumers to pick colours for the shell, camera module ring on the back, personalised message engraving and also matching wallpapers for Moto X series.

Here, Google's Live Case service wants its Pixel phone series owners to upload some related images to create matching live wallpaper. Once you put the snap-on case on the phone, the live wallpaper gets activated on the home screen. [Check out the video demo below]
Another highlight of Google's Live Case is that it comes with inbuilt NFC chip wherein it acts as a physical button-based shortcut. It is programmable to any application in the phone.
Google Trends Live Case feature:
The Google Trends Live Case comes with companion live wallpaper that charts the top trending Google Searches right on the device's home screen. Topics like the newest movie releases, hottest sports teams, and the latest social trends are brought to life through a visualisation that represents its popularity during the last 24 hours.
Google Earth Live Case feature:
The Google Earth Live Case will help Pixel phone users borrow beautiful imageries from ice formations of Antarctica to the beaches of the South Pacific via Google Earth. The Live Case designs extend to your home screen through Live Case's companion wallpaper. The wallpaper updates everyday with a new location from a curated collection of images from Google Earth.
Both Google Earth and Trends Live Cases cost $50 a piece on Google Store (currently available in the United States only)
