Google Daydream View, which was launched in November 2016 in US and select global markets, finally made its way to India on June 12.
Google Daydream View is the company's first Virtual Reality (VR) head gear and runs on proprietary Daydream platform. The exterior cover is made of soft fabric and is ergonomically designed to fit over eyeglasses, as well. It boasts of an auto-alignment system wherein users need not worry about cables or connectors to attach phone with the headset.

It also comes with a smart remote, which comes packed with sensors that respond precisely to a user's movement and gestures — swing it like a cricket bat or wave it like a magic wand. When the users are done using it, they can slide it into a specially-created area within the headset.
"Daydream View promises users a mesmerising experience. Swim with a pod of dolphins, stand at the edge of a volcano and even visit Pluto with Daydream View. Users can teleport from virtually anywhere to pretty much everywhere. Our aim is to make the VR experience mobile so that customers can easily carry it anywhere with them. We at Google are also working with developers, smartphone companies, and content creators to make VR accessible to all," Clay Bavor, vice president of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality at Google, said in statement.
Google Daydream View is compatible with select high-end smartphones running Android Nougat including Pixel series, Samsung Galaxy S8 (& S8+), Moto Z (1st Gen), Moto Z Force, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, LG G6 and HTC U11, among others.
With Google Daydream View, users can watch breathtaking VR videos on YouTube VR app, which is loaded with thousands of media content, virtual gallery and view masterpieces from over 50 world-renowned museums with Arts & Culture. Users can also use Street View app to see curated tours of over 150 of the world's heritage places including Pyramids and the Taj Mahal, and natures reserves, mountain peaks, and even experience flying in space.

With Play Movies, users can also watch shows and films on personal big-screen. And Google Photos displays your 360° captures in a whole new way.

Google Daydream View price and availability:
The new Google Dream View is available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs.6,499. As part of promotional offer, Fiplart is giving flat Rs. 300 off for consumers who buy the device using UPI mode via PhonePe. Also the first 30 customers will receive a Google Chromecast free, and the first 50 customers will receive a Google Play Store Credit worth Rs. 500.
