The Indian origin CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, took to YouTube to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his arrival in the US on Thursday.
"There is tremendous excitement for his (Prime Minister's) visit among all Googlers and the entire Indian community in the country," Pichai says in the video.
He spoke about the effects of Modi's vision of 'Digital India' that is connecting people with one another. He said that Modi's Digital India mission is getting immense support from the Silicon Valley as well.
"Prime Minister Modi's vision on digital India is central to this revolution; it focuses on connecting the one point to a billion people in India. There is no more important role for tech companies today, than helping to connect, the next billion internet users," he said.
Meanwhile, the next initiative that Google is working on is to make its products work on low bandwidths and even offline. By doing so, Pichai hopes that in the next few years 50 million women and 20 million small businesses will "get online for the first time".
There is a lot more to look forward to in the Indo-US strategic partnership, he said.
Pichai further said that India has contributed to the revolution of the world and is now "undergoing its own revolution".
"India has long been an exporter of talented tech companies, the products built by Indian graduates from IIT and across other institutions have helped to revolutionise the world. But it is India that is now undergoing its own revolution. This will have great benefits for everyone in the country," he said.

People in rural areas, Indian language speakers, girls who will learn new skills and will have successful careers, and business of all sizes will be able to find customers.
