When "The Good Wife" returns on CBS with its mid-season premiere episode titled "Hail Mary", the show might open up a new chapter in the lives of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) and Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry). While Agos' fans might see him in jail for the rest of the season, Alicia could probably decide to begin a new life with Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode).
The official synopsis of the legal drama indicates that Agos will hire a prison consultant named Bill Kroft (Domenick Lombardozzi) to prepare him for incarceration.
Meanwhile, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) and other members of Florrick/Agos/Lockhart will try their best to save him from prison.
On the other side of "Hail Mary", Polmar gets involved in Alicia's run for State's Attorney by helping her prepare a debate. As the two share more screen space with each other in "The Good Wife", several rumours are doing the rounds that they could be the next power couple in the legal series.
In the trailer of episode 11, Alicia is seen slamming Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) during a debate section for State's Attorney candidates.
"I'm simply a lawyer by training and by temperament. And what that means is I have the character to put the demands of this job before my own self interests. And the discipline to ensure that winning cases does not become more important than seeing justice done. Based on your past Mr. Peter I don't think you can say the same," she says.
"The Good Wife" season 6 mid-season premiere episode titled "Hail Mary" will be telecast on CBS this Sunday at 9pm.
