Some of the worlds golfing greats had their chance to test out their rhythm skills in Shanghai, China on Tuesday (3 November) at a promotional event ahead of the 2015 WGC-Golf Champions event starting there on Thursday.
Top players Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson of the US and Swede Henrik Stenson had a go at playing traditional Chinese drums at a lion dance performance on the banks of the Bund in downtown Shanghai.
Spieth, world number two and winner of this years US Masters and US Open, has not played since winning the Tour Championship event in Atlanta, Georgia on 27 September. He said: Im excited to get out there on a course Im familiar with. Ive taken some time off, Ive rested, I feel 100% for the first time in a couple of months. Hopefully, Ill get out there and play some good golf as well.
Also taking part in the WGC event will be world number three Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland, but Fowler said that anyone in the field could win. Biggest rivalries this week? These three guys on the stage, these are some of the best players in the world, Rory also in the field, but really anyone whos in the field this week has earned their right to be here, guys that have played well this year, and really anyone in the field has a chance to win, he said.
